Customizable and simple. Though, I would like to be able to rename files.

I have gradually moved this app to the premium slot on both my iOS devices as it just proves itself to be the easiest way to create text whether its short notes or the minutes of a meeting. Bravo!

I LOVE this app for its simplicity. For its utility. For its value. And most of all, for its DropBox integration. I use Nebulous for note taking, for my musings, and for workflow integration. No flaws. No shortcomings. No problems. Ive downloaded (and still have) similar apps but I like Nebulous for its consistency and straightforward approach. No brainer.

An iOs text editor with a customizable extra keyboard row, you say? That lets you specify your encoding format? And a full screen "focus" mode? This is a broadside to my prior favorite texter - iA Writer (also a fantastic app) - they basically took what I wanted added to that app and stuck it in here. Now theres always room for improvement - and I dont much use DropBox myself, so Id like the option to default rather to local files. And frankly I wish the app name and icon had anything to do with what the app actually does - rather than being evocative of the storage mechanism the app happens to use. But hey, if anyone ever got it perfect, they wouldnt need to update and then Id complain that it was never updated. So heres to contant development - to always pushing for the fifth star.

Serious. Could not be easier to use, and the offline access to my notes works very well. Easy backup and sync with Dropbox so all my text files are copied to my computers at home and work. Perfect!

Fastest app from opening to typing. That has been so hard to find. Man Ive been looking for that for a long time. Also it syncs with dropbox. Handy as hell. I would like to be able to rename my notes mind you. But if this thing starts getting so big it slows down the load times then make two versions (this one and a more bloated version) so I dont have to look for another quick note app.

Nebulous Notes is an amazing app to write texts on your iPad. I love the PIN Protection. Its a perfect tool to keep your daily diary or other secret stuff. Enjoy it!

All I wanted a text editor and when I found out that Dropbox signup was an absolute requirement, bought instead WriteRoom/PlainText, preferring to have options.

This for sure is my very favorite writing App on my iPhone. Specially it has a very handy keyboard bar that let me input any Unicode glyph that I need. Everything is very well thought and implemented. My gratitudes to its creator. It very well worth its price.

... And with NaNoWriMo fast approaching, Ill rely on this app like mad. Its well made, UI is fast and unobtrusive, developer is helpful and communicative and just overall this thing is a lifesaver. Multiple file sync has pushed this app far above any such other apps. And once youve had a taste of the additional keyboard bar, with all the customization spots (can we say ":", ";", "?" and the left and right arrows shortcuts, creative writers? Why, yes, we can) youll never even be able to contemplate writing on anything else. If you write on the iPad, stop everything youre doing and give this one a whirl. Theres even themes and a screen dimmer function, and full screen and just.... Its perfection.

Rarely am I impressed by apps anymore. on the grand scale of the app store, quality is clearly getting sacrificed for quantity. this app, however, instead of hovering below my already-low "I could do better" bar, actually spiked my interest. and it kept it! so, uh, yeah. ★★★ for that. the macro feature alone is pure awesome. but features arent so important these days, as the app experience is so much more than that. +★ for the dev behind the app. very responsive (sub-3 hrs for both of my email inquiries) and generally positive. someone who just seems like a good, hard-working dude. +★ for the promise I personally see in this app. the existing features have been implemented in a way that paves a foundation for some seriously awesome updates. because the dev seems both quite involved and is responsive to feedback, I can see some of user requests being animated sooner rather than never.

This is a great text editor! It is clean, simple and easy to use.

Replaces the Notes app and syncs w/ my other computers via Dropbox (using Notepad++)

I use this app everyday. After the most recent update, I decided to review this app and I give it full marks. Well done! The most thought out text editor app to date. Keep up the constant innovation.

After trying the lite version for months, I finally bought Nebulous to support it and to gain more ad-free workspace. I use Nebulous every day to write and edit articles for a webzine. Because we use span tags quite a bit, the macros are very handy. Nebulous also works seamlessly with Dropbox, which is important because so much of my work is done on a mobile device. Thanks for developing and continuing to improve this indispensable app!

I usually ignore developers requests to rate and star new versions, but this one deserves a rating as I just cant get along without it. Ive tried lots of Dropbox enabled text editors, and this is the only one I keep coming back to. None of the others can be configured enough for me to get any real work done (due to apple standard keyboards etc) and all the rest of them seem to generate errors for entertainment purposes. Its not cute and pretty, but it just works and it keeps on working no matter what sort of network conditions I have to put up with.

I had been trying various note taking Apps when I stumbled onto Nebulous Notes. I wanted something to write extensive email replies on my iPad. Nebulous Notes gives my lots of options and the customizable tool bar is great. Ive set mine up with my own options. Add easy integration with Dropbox plus its Universal and its an easy 5 stars. The latest update adds Open In. And, very important, the developer is super responsive.

Yay. Finally an editor that does what I need

A few suggestions. - Add more file type compatibility such as for .doc, .docx, .pdf - update the app for retina screens - lastly, and this isnt something thats all that necessary, but if you had to ability to use OCR technology that would really separate you from the other apps. Other than that, great app.

Pretty good text editor…but the lack of search function makes it basically useless to me. Hoping thatll be added in the future.
