Ive been using Nebulous Notes for more than a year now, and I couldnt praise its reliability and usefulness highly enough. From seamless text zoom, great interface customization (green on black anyone?), a powerful macro system to a very good Dropbox-integration this app stands out from all the other writing apps. And make no mistake: This thing isnt just for notes, as its author claims. I use it to frequently collaborate on longer pieces of text via Dropbox, thanks to Nebulous transparent encoding options. With the new MultiMarkdown-support that includes footnotes, I can now even start to sketch out scientific papers.
Some seldom crash bugs (albeit without any loss of data) remain, and the interface is not as sexy as those of some of its competitors. Furthermore native support for rich text documents could boost compatibility with Windows environments, but apart from these small issues, this is one of the programmes I gladly give a five-star-rating.
